A control method of an image forming apparatus is provided to supply a sufficient toner to a developing roller when an initial image is formed and sense temperature and resistance for supplying the sufficient toner to the developing roller, thereby increasing the reliability of an outputted image. In a control method of an image forming apparatus comprising a main body, an image forming unit, a temperature sensor and a heat emitting pan, the method comprises the following steps. An off state of the heat emitting pan and an off state of the image forming unit are maintained(S10). The image forming unit starts to form images(S30). Internal temperature of a main body is sensed(S50). If the temperature sensed from the temperature sensor is smaller than a predetermined reference temperature, the off state of the heat emitting pan is maintained(S90). If the temperature sensed from the temperature sensor is bigger than the predetermined reference temperature, the heat emitting pan is controlled to be turned on(S100).
