A lamp feeding system and method are provided to mount lamps in holes formed at predetermined intervals and convey the lamps so as to prevent the lamps from being damaged and maintain uniform conveying speed. A system(1) for feeding lamps(L) to set the lamps in a backlight unit includes a lamp supply unit(10) and a conveying unit(20). The lamp supply unit accommodates and supplies lamps. The conveying unit includes a belt having holes formed on the surface thereof. The lamps are placed in the holes of the belt, respectively. The belt has a downward part tilted at a predetermined angle with respect to the vertical line. The lamps are detached from the holes at the end of the downward part of the belt and set in the backlight unit. |
