An LCD device and a driving method thereof are provided to reduce a brightness variation by quickly discharging data voltages in respective pixels, while driving the latter one of adjacent frames. An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) device includes a gate low voltage generator(210), a timing controller(220), a switch(230), and a gate driver(240). The gate low voltage generator generates a high level gate low voltage and a low level gate low voltage for determining a low level of scan pulse. The timing controller controls supply of the high and low level gate low voltages and controls inversion and driving timings of a frame. The switch selectively switches between the high and low level gate low voltages under the control of the timing controller. The gate driver sequentially supplies the high level gate low voltage which is selectively inputted from the switch or the low level scan pulse which is determined by the low level gate low voltage, to an LCD panel under the control of the timing controller.
