#CMT# #/CMT# The screen (1) has an elastic layer (2) made of an elastic material e.g. flexible polyurethane, and covered with a sealed layer (3) to form a spring mass type isolating system. The sealed layer is partially covered with an absorbent fiber layer (4), which includes a heat activeable binder and compressed zones (5a, 5b) i.e. band, where the compressed zones are compressed to a thickness, which is 3 to 5 times less than an initial thickness of the compressed zone. The compressed zone (5b) is formed on periphery of an orifice (6) in the screen. #CMT# : #/CMT# An independent claim is also included for method for forming an acoustic insulation screen. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Acoustic insulation screen for being mounted on a bulkhead of a motor vehicle. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The screen permits to improve insulation of sound waves generated by an engine of the motor vehicle, and to improve absorption of the sound waves. The structure of the screen permits to guarantee the better plating of the screen on the bulkhead.
