PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a "stop determination method" of accurately determining the stop with a simple constitution even if a vehicle speed sensor or a vehicle speed pulse signal cannot be used. SOLUTION: In this stop determination method, an output signal from a gyro sensor and an output signal from an acceleration sensor are input, output signals are sampled at a certain interval, the standard deviation of each of the sampled output signals is calculated, each standard deviation is compared with a threshold, and the stop is determined when both standard deviations are not higher than the threshold.
