PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of controlling the operation of a coal gasification furnace which determines a high precision operation control parameter to make the operation of a coal gasification furnace highly efficient, an apparatus for controlling the operation of a coal gasification furnace, and a program of controlling the operation of a coal gasification furnace. SOLUTION: Online data to be measured by each measurement equipment in a gasification furnace in operation is acquired to equalize the online data at minimum time intervals previously found for each gasification furnace, and by estimating a performance evaluation function from the equalized online data, the performance evaluation function of a gasification furnace 2 having high correlation is estimated and on the basis of the performance evaluation function and a previously set level of significance, optimizing calculation for making the operation of the gasification furnace highly efficient is performed to determine a high precision operation control parameter based on the online data to be acquired during operation.
