The speeder roller (7) is accelerated to a second speed in the speeding phase co-operating in the flow direction (R) downstream of the parting device used to itemize the envelope cutouts (Z1,Z2,Z3). The cutouts are transported by a belt and equipped with a holding device operating in the speeding phase. Speeding can be carried out at the bottom-folding station where the folding cylinder performs as speeder roller or, if in the side flap fold station, then a transport roller performs the speed-up function. The speeder roller (7) can act as suction cylinder as transport rollers (4-6). |
