<p>A method and system for inquiring a telephone book, a SIP terminal and a SIP server are disclosed. The method includes the following steps: after receiving the inquiry request transmitted through the SIP from the SIP terminal, determining the requested telephone book information according to the inquiry condition included in the inquiry request, and transmitting the inquiry result including the telephone book information to the SIP terminal through the SIP. According to the present invention, the inquiry request carrying inquiry condition is transmitted through the usual SIP and the inquiry result is returned, thus the invention has better openness and higher reliability.</p> |
