PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antibacterial composition which can synergistically reinforce respective antibacterial actions of specific compounds even in various skin states which differ in the amount and the ratio of sweat and sebum, and a deodorant agent comprising the antibacterial composition. SOLUTION: The antibacterial composition suitable against Staphylococcus epidermidis comprises at least two compounds selected from the group consisting of benzalkonium chloride, benzethonium chloride, halocarban, trichlorocarbanilide, chlorhexidine hydrochloride, isopropylmethylphenol, triclosan, chlorhexidine gluconate, piroctone olamine, resorcin, lysozyme chloride, salicylic acid, hinokithiol, and thymol, and the deodorant agent comprises the composition.
