PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spacer particle dispersion liquid with which spacer particles can be selectively deposited at an optional position on a substrate without wetting and spreading of liquid drops of the spacer particle dispersion liquid discharged onto the substrate of a liquid crystal display device by using an ink-jet device, and to provide a liquid crystal display device produced using the spacer dispersion liquid. SOLUTION: The spacer particle dispersion liquid contains spacer particles and a solvent essentially comprising an organic solvent, to be used for depositing the spacer particles at the optional position on the substrate using an ink-jet device, and the liquid shows a surface tension of 30 to 65 mN/m.
