PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a table which has legs and the top supported by the legs so that the top can be flapped between a use position where the top is almost horizontal and a housing position where the top stands almost vertically, the table preventing such a problem that when a hand or the like is suddenly removed from an operating part and operating force is not applied to the operating part while the top is moved to the use or the housing position, the top moves backward and the top moving at high speed near the use position rapidly collides against a nearby person. SOLUTION: The table T has: the top 2; the legs 1 for supporting the top 2 so that the top can be flapped between the use position where the top is almost horizontal and the housing position where the top stands almost vertically; energized lock pawls 24 provided at the top 2; first and second engaging recessed parts 14x and 14y which are provided at the legs 1 and engaged with the lock pawls 24 to lock the top to the use position or housing position; and a lock mechanism L composed of the lock pawls 24 and an operation lever 23. The table T is further includes an intermediate locking mechanism CT for locking the top 2 at a locking position C positioned at an intermediate part when the table is moved.
