摘要 A method for producing astaxanthin is provided to improve production yield of astaxanthin in a microorganism producing no astaxanthin by using transformed Escherichia coli strain containing isoprenoid and carotenoid biosynthesis genes. A method for producing a large quantity of astaxanthin comprises the steps of: co-transforming Escherichia coli with recombinant vectors pCR-XL-TOPO-crtfull containing crt gene associated with biosynthesis of carotenoid and pACYC 184-T7 promoter-idi containing idi gene(isopentenyl diphosphate isomerase, genebank accession No. AF119715) associated with biosynthesis of isoprenoid; and culturing the transformed Escherichia coli in a medium.
