An air conditioner for a car seat is provided to improve cooling and heating performance and to increase the efficiency of the air conditioner using a water-cooling type heat exchange unit. An air conditioner for a car seat comprises a seat duct(250) for transferring air contained in an air conditioner case(110) to an air discharge port(210), an internal air intake door(151), an internal temperature detecting sensor(160), a thermoelectric element module(310), and a control unit to control the thermoelectric element module. The thermoelectric element module is installed in the seat duct to heat-exchange the air passing through the seat duct. The control unit controls a door driving member to open one end of the seat duct by the internal air intake door in a cooling mode, when cool air within the case is lower than the internal temperature of a vehicle and higher than the predetermined minimum temperature. And the control unit controls the door driving member to open one end of the seat duct by the internal air intake door in a heating mode, when warm air within the case is higher than the internal temperature of a vehicle and lower than the predetermined maximum temperature.
