PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To specify a terminal which transmits or receives packets collected from a network, without independently managing a table, for managing network addresses, from the packets. SOLUTION: A DHCP packet receiving part 51 receives a DHCP packet which includes an IP address and a host name indicating the terminal to which the IP address is assigned. A packet collection/preservation processing part 52 collects the packets on the network. A packet storage part 42 stores the received DHCP packet and the collected packets. A packet analyzing part 53 extracts the IP address and the host name included in the DHCP packet, and also extracts the IP address included in the packet. A DHCP management table 43 holds the IP address and the host name by correspondence. The packet analyzing part 53 specifies the terminal which is assigned to the IP address extracted from the packet while referring to the DHCP management table 43. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
