PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wall structure avoiding formation of a gap around a heat insulation board even if a stud slims down or warps or a displacement between layers, demonstrating an excellent heat insulation effect for a long time and capable of being constructed with an excellent workability, and a wall construction method. SOLUTION: A pole 3 and the stud 4 are erected between a foundation 1 and a girt 2. In this embodiment, the pole 3 is a first column and the stud 4 is a second column. A face material 5 is fixed on the outdoor side faces of the pole 3 and the stud 4 by using nails or the like. A heat insulation board 6 is disposed in contact with the indoor side face of the face material 5 between the pole 3 and the stud 4. In this process, a gap smaller than the diameter of a flexible material 7 described later is formed between the stud 4 and the heat insulation board 6. The slender flexible material 7 with a circular cross-section made of an expandable resin is pressed into the gap between the heat insulation board 6 and the stud 4 to the depth of a chamfer 6a.
