PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display system enabling an operator to easily and precisely confirm a peripheral state of a work machine, by expanding the area of a pickup image displayed on a monitor of an operation part, when remotely operating the work machine. SOLUTION: This image display system 1 displays the picked up image imaged by an imaging part 2 on the monitor 14 of a remote operation part 3, by mounting the imaging part 2 on the remotely operated work machine 31. The imaging part 2 also has a width directional camera part 4 imaging the image in the width direction of the work machine 31, a vertical directional camera part 5 imaging the image in the vertical direction of the work machine 31, an image processing part 7 synthesizing a panorama image signal from an image signal of the width directional camera part 4 or the vertical directional camera part 5, and an imaging side transmission part 8 transmitting the panorama image signal toward the remote operation part 3. The remote operation part 3 also has an operation side receiving part 12 receiving the panorama image signal transmitted from the imaging part 2, and an output part 13 outputting its panorama image signal to the monitor 14.
