A liquid crystal display panel and a method for fabricating the same are provided to minimize non-uniformity of a reference voltage and brightness, image persistence, and flicker by improving conductivity of a common electrode by contacting a black matrix with the common electrode. A liquid crystal display panel includes a thin film transistor array substrate(180), and a color filter array substrate(170) bonded with the thin film transistor array substrate, having liquid crystal(152) between the thin film transistor array substrate and the color filter array substrate. The color filter array substrate includes a black matrix(104) defining cell areas and having conductivity, color filters(106) formed in the cell areas, and a common electrode(118) contacting with the black matrix. |
