<p>A coating agent, wherein titanium oxide or a precursor thereof is dispersed in an aqueous alcohol solution in the form of nanoparticles, is obtained by adding not more than 20 parts by volume of titanium tetrachloride into 100 parts by volume of an aqueous alcohol solution containing 0.01-50% by volume of an alcohol. Consequently, a coating agent exhibiting high photocatalytic activity can be produced by a simple operation at low cost. Since the thus-obtained coating agent has high self-adhesiveness in addition to the high photocatalytic activity, it can be adhered to an object substance by itself.</p> |
