A portable display device is provided to form at least one opening in a mold frame surrounding sides of a light source, thereby distributing heat by circulating air heated by heat generated when the light source emits light. A backlight assembly(150) includes a light source for supplying light to an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) panel(104). A mold frame(116) is included in the backlight assembly and receives the LCD panel and the light source. The mold frame is formed so as to surround at least two sides of the light source. In at least one area of the mold frame surrounding the sides of the light source, at least one opening(117) is formed. |
