The device has a supporting unit (7) attached to an adapter (17) for pressing the adapter with a preset delivering force (F) against a vehicle wheel (5) in a captivation position. The adapter is automatically adjustable in a wheel axis direction, when a wheel track of a vehicle (1) is changed. A balance spring unit or actuating unit is arranged between the adapter and the supporting unit. The supporting unit and the adapter are connected by a suspension bolt (21), which is arranged as a central bolt coaxial to wheel axis. An independent claim is also included for a method for the captivation of vehicle on a test stand. |
