ARTIFICIAL CHROMOSOME, USE THEREOF AND METHOD FOR PREPARING ARTIFICIAL CHROMOSOME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mammalian artificial chromosome and a method for transducing the exogenous DNA into a chromosome, and to provide a method for isolating/purifying the chromosome and to provide a new satellite artificial chromosome.

SOLUTION: The method for preparation of artificial chromosome comprising a step of transducing one or a plurality of DNA fragments including a selectable marker into a cell, a step of proliferating the cell under a selective condition in which the cell transduced into the genomic DNA with the one or a plurality of DNA fragments is produced, and a step of selecting the cell including the satellite artificial chromosome, wherein the satellite artificial chromosome includes more heterologous chromosome than the euchromatin. The invention also relates to the satellite artificial chromosome obtained by the method, and to the transgenic nonhuman animal or plant including the satellite artificial chromosome.
