PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic EL display device in which an organic material in an organic EL element is hardly influenced by moisture. SOLUTION: This organic EL display device 10 includes an element substrate 11 having a light emitting layer 113 formed thereon, a sealing member 15 having a recess section 125 surrounding the light emitting layer 113, and a drying agent 14 arranged in a sealing space formed by the element substrate 11 and the sealing member 15. The drying agent 14 includes oil, and the sealing member 15 includes an opposed section 126 as a bottom section of the recess section 125, a side face section 127 extending from the opposed section 126 and surrounding the light emitting layer 113, and a recessed section 128 formed at an inner circumferential surface of the side face section 127 so as to surround the light emitting layer 113.
