The invention relates to a housing (2) for an electronic control appliance, comprising at least two housing parts, at least one bottom (3), a cover (4), and an electronic connection (5) between components (7) arranged inside the housing and components arranged outside the housing, said connection being fixed to the bottom (3) of the housing. The electronic connection (5) is either embodied as a single-component flexible printed circuit board or as at least one partial flexible printed circuit board (17) comprising at least one uniform open region of the copper conductor track outside the region covered by the housing cover. The width of the uniform region is adapted to the pre-defined type of bonding assembly of the peripheral components and is longer than necessary for said assembly. For this reason, the invention relates to a design for the variable adaptation of generic electronic housings, thereby not necessarily requiring a novel design of the housing with the corresponding expensive individual packaging.
