The exchanger (1) has a collecting pipe (2) and a set of flat pipes (3) forming a heat transfer surface, where each flat pipe ends into the collecting pipe. Two longitudinal channels (9) and a set of transverse channels (10) corresponding to the flat pipes are arranged in the collecting pipe. A cross sectional ratio of a cross section of the longitudinal channels to a cross section of transverse channels lies within a range of 1.3 to 6, where the collecting pipe is formed from a separately designed base and a cover (7).
