LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE

摘要

A vertical alignment liquid crystal display device is provided to improve overshoot by restraining aging of domain by deciding an alignment direction of a whole domain formed on a linear structure. A pair of substrates have electrodes and vertical alignment films. Liquid crystal having negative dielectric anisotropy is interposed between the pair of substrates. At least one of the substrates has linear alignment restraining structures(30,32) to a liquid crystal domain. At least one of the substrates has an element forming at least one border of alignment of the liquid crystal domain on the linear alignment restraining structures at a fixed position.
