PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure a game area, reduce a cost and reduce stress. SOLUTION: Retention ball storage sections (a first retention ball storage section and a second retention ball storage section) are provided for every type of start winning holes and, during a variable performance display of a variable display device 11, each retention ball storage section stores the entering of game balls 4 in a type of the start winning holes with which the retention ball storage section is associated. If the plurality of retention ball storage sections have stored the entering of each game ball when executing the variable performance display in the variable display device 11, the game machine sets the order of priority in the variable performance display on the variable display device 11 according to the types of the start winning holes, so as to preferentially perform the variable performance display corresponding to the storages of all the ball-entering stored in either one of the retention ball storage sections.
