PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gateway device capable of performing communication using only permitted channels. SOLUTION: This invention relates to an on-board gateway device which performs transfer control over frame data between a plurality of communication channels, and the gateway device comprises a routing map containing at least ID information for identifying respective nodes connected to the plurality of channels and information on communication channels that the nodes having the ID information set can use, and a search engine unit 11 which refers to ID information inserted into received frame data and distributes the frame data to transfer destinations of the frame data when the frame data are the one from the permitted channels.
