PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a component crimping apparatus control method, a component crimping apparatus and a measuring tool, which enable to measure directly a temperature of a part pressed by a pressing head. SOLUTION: The component crimping apparatus control method is applied to a component mounting apparatus 100 which crimps a component 202 onto a plate-shaped work 200, and causes a measuring tool 300 shaped identically as the work to measure a temperature of a pressed part in a pressing process of pressing the component 202 onto the work 200 using a heated pressing head 111. The method includes a step S702 of acquiring information indicating whether or not the measuring tool 300 is held, a step S706 of positioning the measuring tool identically as the work in the case where the information indicating that the measuring tool 300 is held is acquired, and a step S707 of supporting the measurement by executing the pressing process to the measuring tool after the positioning.
