STRUCTURE FOR JOINING MEMBERS

A structure for joining members, suitable for joining together members having a small thickness and joining members of different materials. The structure has a nut (1), a first member (2) superposed on the nut (1) such that a hole (2) previously formed in the first member (2) continues to the threaded hole of the nut (2), and a second member (4) superposed over the first member (3) so as to cover the hole (2). The material of the second member (4) is caused to enter into the hole (2) of the first member (3) and into the threaded hole of the nut (1) by using friction heat and plastic flow of the material generated by using a joining tool (5).
