<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable diffuser for a compressor capable of improving efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: In the variable diffuser 30, a diffuser passage 33 for decelerating air flow discharged from an outer peripheral end of an impeller rotating inside a housing and recovering dynamic pressure to static pressure is formed between a hub side wall face 32a and a shroud side wall face 31a, and diffuser blades are provided in the diffuser passage 33. A fixed blade 35 and a movable blade 34 which are the diffuser blades are alternately fixed in the circumferential direction to a fixed disk 31 and a movable disk 32 forming the hub side wall face 32a and the shroud side wall face 31a.
