<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric wire conductor excellent in tensile strength, breaking elongation, shock resistance, conductivity and fatigue resistance, and its manufacturing method. <P>SOLUTION: The electric wire conductor is formed by twisting a plurality of strands of aluminum alloy containing Si of 0.3-1.2 mass% and Mg satisfied with Mg/Si=0.8-1.8, and the remains substantially consisting of Al and unavoidable impurities. The electric wire conductor has the tensile strength of not less than 240 MPa, the breaking elongation of not less than 10%, the absorption impact energy of not less than 8 J/m, and the conductivity of not less than 40% IACS. In the manufacturing method, after forming the twisted wire by twisting a plurality of strands of aluminum alloy having the composition, the twisted wire is subjected to solution heat treatment, cooled rapidly and subjected to aging heat treatment. It is desirable that the temperature of the solution heat treatment is 500-580°C, and the temperature of the aging heat treatment is 150-220°C, and further heating in the solution heat treatment is high frequency one. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
