PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital receiver whose reception mode can automatically be switched in response to a reception state and an operation of the receiver. SOLUTION: The digital receiver provided with a demodulation section 23 for processing received signals received from two tuners 8, 9 by two systems of decoding sections 18, 19 and operated through the selection of a double tuner reception mode or a diversity reception mode, includes a diversity control means 22 controlled by an output of a reception state decision means 28, so that the switching between the double tuner reception mode and the diversity reception mode is automatically carried out.
