<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reciprocating pump capable of securing sealing performance between the edge surface of a discharge side filter and a cylinder or a cap even if dimensional tolerance is present in members constituting the reciprocating pump. <P>SOLUTION: The reciprocating pump P is equipped with the cylinder 1; a plunger 2 sliding and reciprocating in the inner empty part of the cylinder 1; a suction valve means 3 opening and closing an intake path 2a formed in the plunger 2; a bottomed cylindrical cap 6 covering the bottom part 14 of the cylinder 1 from the outside; a discharge valve means 7 housed in a discharge valve chamber K3 formed with the inner empty part of the cap 6 and the bottom part 14 of the cylinder 1, and opening and closing a discharge path 1a; and the discharge side filter 8 surrounding the discharge valve means 7 and filtering liquid discharged from the discharge path 1a.
