PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of degrading the reliability of an electric motor for laterally driving a suction nozzle, due to the load fluctuation of the electric motor every time the nozzle runs over a bar. SOLUTION: An air conditioner has a filter automatic cleaning function based on a suction system composed of an air filter for removing dust of air passing through a heat exchanger; the suction nozzle movable along the air filter; a brush mounted to the suction nozzle; and a suction device connected to the suction nozzle. Resistance of a horizontal bar and the brush mounted to the suction nozzle can be kept constant when laterally driving the suction nozzle by sliding a part of the brush of the laterally moving nozzle along the surface of the horizontal bar of a filter frame.
