PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer which requires only a narrow occupied area and can be easily restored to the normal condition even if a trouble arises. SOLUTION: The printer 10 is equipped with an inkjet printing part 40 and a drying part 50 positioned below this inkjet printing part 40. In the drying part 50, heaters 52-1 to 52-6, three units each separated upward and downward, are arranged. A space where a U-turn roller 53 can move is formed between the heaters 52-1 to 52-3 arranged upward and the heaters 52-4 to 52-6 arranged downward, and while a recording medium 12 on which ink is delivered is conveyed in this space, the ink is dried. The recording medium 12 passes through a drying inlet roller 51, passes the above described gap, is U-turned by the U-turn roller 53 positioned in the inner part of the drying part 50, passes again the gap, and reaches a drying outlet roller 55.
