PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing machine which can quickly dry clothes with little power consumption. SOLUTION: In a forcible drying processing, a blower 34, a heater 35, and a dehumidifier 40 are operated with an exhaust air duct 45 closed. Inner air in a water receiving tank 10 circulates inside of a circulation path 33 without being mixed with outer air during the forcible drying processing, so that the temperature drop of the inner air circulating inside of the circulation path 33 is suppressed to accelerate the drying of the clothes. In a remaining heat drying processing, the exhaust air duct 45 is changed from closed condition to opened condition and the heater 35 is changed from operating condition to operation stop condition. During the remaining heat drying processing, moisture evaporated from the clothes with remaining heat is discharged outside the water receiving tank 10 by outer air flow, so that the drying of the clothes is accelerated. Consequently, the drying of the clothes is accelerated both during the forcible drying processing and during the remaining heat drying processing and the heater 35 is stopped during the remaining drying processing thereby the clothes can be quickly dried with a reduced power consumption.
