An air conditioner and humidity control method for conditioning air in a room in order that a user can sleep comfortably. The air conditioner (1) has a normal mode and a good-night mode that are automatically operated modes. Also, the air conditioner (1) is provided with an outdoor unit (2), an outdoor air conditioner unit (5), an air supply/dehumidification unit (4), and a humidity conditioning/control section (8f). The outdoor unit (2), the outdoor air conditioner unit (5), and the air supply/dehumidification unit (4) supply air into the room after humidifying or dehumidifying it. In the normal mode, the humidity conditioning/control section (8f) controls each device in the outdoor unit (2), the outdoor air conditioner unit (5), and the air supply/dehumidification unit (4) so that the humidity in the room is first target humidity. In the good-night mode, the humidity conditioning/control section (8f) controls each device in the outdoor unit (2), the outdoor air conditioner unit (5), and the air supply/dehumidification unit (4) so that the humidity in the room is second target humidity that is lower than the first target humidity. |
