The method involves detecting a vehicle state such as drive, when an actual vehicle state such as stand presents. The drive state of the vehicle is detected, when final stages of controlled vehicle system are activated, and one of amounts of speeds of vehicle movements is larger than a threshold value, and when the motor runs. The stand state of the vehicle is detected, when the actual drive state presents, and all amounts of the speed of the movements are identically zero or the motor does not run, and a preset time is expired. An independent claim is also included for a circuit arrangement for detecting a vehicle system.
