The point (2) has a thread changing device (16) with a thread eye tranversably driven by an electromotive individual drive and an endless traction unit. A bearing housing of the thread changing device is made of a metallic material. An electromotive individual drive (13) of a thread guide is thermally separated from the bearing housing of the thread changing device by an isolation body, which possess reduced heat conductivity, where the isolation body is made from plastic. The individual drive is provided with cooling ribs and a cooling and bearing plate.
