The sensor (2) has a radiation transmitter (4) and a radiation receiver (6), which are arranged to each other such that the transmitter and the receiver form an optical path (8) for measuring turbidity of fluid present in the optical path. The transmitter and the receiver are housed in housing sections (10, 12). A lens unit (14) is provided in the housing sections and arranged in an area behind the transmitter in a radiation direction. The sections and the lens unit are formed as a single piece. The sections include a recess, in which the lens unit is inserted.
