A broadcasting receiver having an IP sharer is provided to enable one or more communication devices within home to share one communication IP capable of connecting to an external communication network, thereby performing communication with the external communication network. A broadcasting receiver comprises a tuner unit(100), a demultiplxer(102), an image/voice processor(104), an image/voice output unit(106), a memory(108), a PVR(Personal Video Recorder)(110), a user interface unit(112), an IP(Internet Protocol) sharer(114), a function setup menu providing unit(116), and a controller(118). The IP sharer performs a control operation so as for at least one or more connected communication devices to perform communication with an external communication network by sharing one IP connected to the external communication network. The IP sharer forms a sub network with the communication devices. The controller controls operations of each function block of the broadcasting receiver and operates the IP sharer. The controller controls data transceiving so as to perform the communication with the external communication network or communication with one or more communication devices connected to the IP sharer.
