A printing head capping apparatus in a digital printing machine is provided to cover a lower part of a head unit in a standby section by using a vertically movable sealing member, thereby preventing a nozzle of the head unit from being clogged by ink or foreign material. A digital printing machine has a printing standby section(40) in which a head unit(30) horizontally moving along a base(20) maintains a stop state in a printing standby or completion state. A printing head capping apparatus in the digital printing machine includes a sealing member(50) and a driving member(60). The sealing member is installed at a lower part of the printing standby section to cover a lower part of the head unit. The driving member moves the sealing member up and down by a control signal. The driving member is composed of a cylinder member(62). A guide bar(55) to guide vertical movement of the sealing member is extended from the lower part of the sealing member.
