A biosensor is provided to induce rapid absorption of biological sample solution, minimize measurement errors by preventing washing out of the dissolved enzymes from an enzyme reaction layer by a operating electrode and a reference electrode when the biological sample solution is introduced into the enzyme reaction layer, and inhibit release of the enzyme reaction layer from the lower substrate or insulation film. A biosensor for detecting a biological materials in a sample comprises: an insulating lower substrate containing a operating electrode(42) and a reference electrode(41) connected to a lead terminal(32) via electrode lead wire(31), and an enzyme reaction layer(120) reacting with the biological materials in the sample on the electrodes; a spacer(600) for adhering the lower substrate and an upper substrate(700), having a sample-introducing space(610) for inducing absorption of the sample to the position of electrodes along the enzyme reaction layer; an insulating upper substrate adhering to the lower substrate through the spacer; and at least one dummy electrode(21) which is installed in the lower substrate, spaced apart from the operating electrode and reference electrode and unconnected to the lead terminal. Further, the dummy electrode is formed between the operating electrode and the reference electrode.
