<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting device permitting to obtain good visibility and high transmittance. <P>SOLUTION: The light emitting device 1 comprises a TFT 3 prepared on a substrate 2, an insulating film 4 covering the TFT 3, and a structure in which an organic layer 8 is held between an anode 6 which reflects light and a cathode 9 which transmits the light. The anode 6 is electrically connected to the TFT 3 through an opening 5 prepared in the insulating film 4. Since the incident light from the outside of the light emitting device 1 is transmitted mainly through an exposed part of the insulating film 4, good visibility and high transmittance can be obtained. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
