<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase possibility that radio communication is secured while suppressing an increase in influence of power consumption and a radio signal on others within a necessary minimum time even in the presence of a radio obstacle between short-distance radio devices. <P>SOLUTION: At least one short-distance radio device 1 is equipped with a pressure sensor 12 and a radio unit 10 which can vary and control radio communication capability such as transmission power and reception sensitivity. When pressure is applied to the radio device, the pressure sensor detects intensity of the pressure and the radio communication capability of the radio unit is increased as the pressure increases. This radio device is applied to, for example, a fixed communication device for a ticket examination machine having a reader/writer function for the non-contact IC card of an automatic ticket examination system. In this case, the radio communication capability of the fixed radio device can be increased by pressing the non-contact IC card having a commuter pass function against the ticket examination machine while holding the non-contact IC card in a commuter-pass holder, thereby increasing the possibility of success in communication. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
