PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mold for molding a honeycomb structure preventing the falling of the outer peripheral wall of the honeycomb structure at the time of extrusion molding, its manufacturing method, and a manufacturing method of the honeycomb structure. SOLUTION: The mold 1 for molding the honeycomb structure is equipped with a mold main body 2, which has a supply hole part 21 provided with a supply hole and a slit groove part 22 provided with a slit groove 3, and an outer periphery guide ring 4, which has the outer peripheral erected part extending in the extrusion direction of a material from the outer peripheral end of the slit groove part 22 and the outer peripheral protruded part 42 which is internally protruded from the outer peripheral erected part to provide a gap with respect to the slit groove part 22. The width of the expanded slit groove 32 being the slit groove 3 positioned in the region 300 expanded by about two cells from the leading end 420 of the outer peripheral protruded part 42 is larger than the groove width of the normal slit groove 31 inward from an expanded slit groove 32 and the width of the slit groove and the outer slit groove facing the outer peripheral guide ring 4 and provided outside the expanded slit groove 32.
