PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain proper steady rest in accordance with the size of a material. SOLUTION: This steady rest device includes first and second roller members 68, 69, 72 and 73 relatively rotatable to hold the material B1. The device includes a stopper 74 for setting an angle formed by the first and second roller members 68, 69, 72 and 73 to hold the material B1 by extending among the first and second roller members 68, 69, 72 and 73.
