An aqueous conditioning shampoo composition comprising an anionic cleansi ng surfactant and a gel network comprising: (i) a fatty material selected fr om C12-C22 fatty alcohol, C12-C22 fatty acid, C12-C22 fatty amide or mixture s thereof and (ii) hydrophobic particulates having a melting point of greate r than that of the fatty material.
