<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more accurately test a vascular function by improving the measurement accuracy of an index of a degree of arteriosclerosis such as PWV. <P>SOLUTION: When baPWV (brachial ankle pulse wave velocity) is used as the index of the degree of arteriosclerosis, a relationship of the baPWV to a sympathetic nervous activity index (LF/HF) is displayed approximately to a primary function. A displayed graph shows that a value of the baPWV when a measured subject rests (when he or she is calm) is 19.8 m/sec (an intercept) and that an inclination of the baPWV with respect to the LF/HF of the measured subject is 0.52. Since influences of a state of an autonomic nerve can be eliminated from the measured baPWM value by using the graph, it is possible to more accurately test the vascular function. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
