<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system that removes valve-opening abnormality in a variable gas supply device during operation. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell system is provided with a fuel cell, a supply channel for allowing fuel gas supplied from a fuel supply source to flow into the fuel cell, the variable gas supply device for supplying the fuel gas to the downstream side of the supply channel while adjusting the gas state on the upstream side of the supply channel, and a controller for drivingly controlling the variable gas supply device.
